The Heian Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Kyoto, Japan. It was built in 1895 to commemorate the 1,100th anniversary of the founding of Kyoto. The shrine is dedicated to Emperor Kanmu and Emperor Kōmei.
The shrine is open daily from 6:00 am to 5:30 pm. Admission fee is 600 yen for adults, 300 yen for high school and junior high school students, and free for elementary school students and younger.
